0–2 YEARS EXPERIENCE · VALUE CREATION & M&A
You'll work side by side with senior operators on the most complex challenges our clients face — and spend your time on the thinking, because the production work that fills a first-year's week elsewhere doesn't fill yours.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Solve high-stakes client problems from first principles — hypothesis-led, evidence-backed
- Own analysis end to end: build it, pressure-test it, stand behind it in front of clients
- Craft the models, workplans and board materials client leaders act on
- Earn a seat in client rooms years earlier than the industry standard
WHAT YOU BRING
- 0–2 years in consulting, banking, or an operating role — or a degree and work you can show
- Structured problem solving, fluency with numbers, clear plain writing
- The instinct to question an answer rather than accept it
- Care for clients — their problem becomes yours
Engagement Manager
3–6 YEARS EXPERIENCE · VALUE CREATION & M&A
You'll lead engagement delivery and own relationships with senior client leaders — turning ambiguous, high-stakes questions into structure, and structure into results clients can see.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the day-to-day of client engagements: cadence, workstreams, quality of everything that ships
- Own working sessions with client executives — uncover root issues, drive to decisions
- Turn ambiguity into hypothesis-led plans, and plans into outcomes that hold
- Shape how the firm serves its clients — your standards become the playbook
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–6 years in consulting, PE operations, corporate development, or integration work
- Client workstreams owned end to end — not observed
- Clear writing, calm presence in a client room
- Exacting standards, even temperament
AI Engineer
4+ YEARS EXPERIENCE · COCO PLATFORM
Every MAZ engagement runs on COCO, our private intelligence engine. You'll take it further — new use cases, deeper capability — knowing client work rides on every release.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take COCO into new territory — new use cases, new engagement patterns, new depth from the models underneath to the surface the team works in
- Uphold — and keep raising — the security standards the platform is built on: confidentiality by architecture, not by policy
- Translate what our consultants need in the field into platform capability — small releases, shipped fast
- Own reliability and the platform's alignment with security frameworks — SOC 2, ISO 27001, and what clients ask for next
WHAT YOU BRING
- 4+ years building and running production software — backend, frontend, and cloud
- LLM systems in production: orchestration, evals, retrieval — beyond calling an API
- Security instincts — tenancy, least privilege, and data isolation as defaults
- Judgment about what to build — and the restraint not to build the rest
